Start the day with a border crossing into Vatican City, where you breeze past the long lines and through an exclusive partner entrance into the ornate Vatican Museums. More than 200 tour operators have “Skip the Line” entry to the Vatican, but this Official Partner Tour grants you special access through the Private Partner Entrance, which allows you to enter immediately, saving up to four hours during peak season and giving you even more time to explore the beauty of the Museums.

Once inside, you and your small group enjoy all the highlights of the Vatican with an expert guide by your side. The tour takes in a treasure trove of artistic wonders, from masterworks such as Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel frescoes and 'La Pietà' in St. Peter’s Basilica to the precious relics, paintings, and tapestries adorning the museums’ gilded galleries. Throughout the tour, your expert, English-speaking guide shares fascinating insights only a local could know.

After your Vatican tour, enjoy free time to sample some authentic Italian cuisine (own expense) before meeting your next expert guide for a tour of the historical heart of ancient Rome. Begin by skipping yet another line to enter the Colosseum immediately. Dominating the center of the Eternal City, this ancient arena puts modern stadiums to shame.

Then your tour continues to the Palatine Hill, where Rome originated in a battle between two brothers. You are then taken from the origin of ancient Rome to its hub: The Forum, that bustling marketplace where business, politics, and religion mixed. No other tour takes you so close to so much of the history, significance, and fabulous riches of Rome.

Please note: During the low season, the itinerary described operates in reverse. Tour the Colosseum and Roman Forum in the morning, followed by the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica in the afternoon.

Very informative and lovely hosts on both tours. Both ladies were nice enough to take some photos for me (solo traveller). Introduced the tour group to each other and were very friendly. Would recommend.

Ugh!!
Dissatisfied

I got to the location for the Vatican tour on time and the group left anyway. They must have left like one minute early. The guide for the colosseum tour was amazing and I enjoyed that but the fact that they left before the scheduled time for the second tour is mind blowing and a waste.

Our trip to Vatican and Colosseum was a great one. I wish to highlight on the Colosseum trip. Our tour leader, Marina was insightful. She was able to answers all the questions asked during the trip with patience. Her narration was like a mother telling stories to her children. Amazing Amazing!!! She made it so interesting that you don't even feel tired of the walkabout. Vatican Tour - To me, we need thousand eyes to see Vatican. It is such a beauty inside out.

Great day out

The Colosseum tour was excellent with an excellent tour guide named Lorenzo who was very knowledgeable as well as being very easy to listen to, the trip over to the Vatican was a bit of a rush but we shared a taxi with another couple on the same tour for just 10 euro. The vatican tour was good but we didn't have enough time in the Sistine Chapel and the guide although knowledgeable spent most of the tour talking about Michael Angelo and Raphael. The 2 tours in one day is quite demanding but we thought it was a very interesting and enjoyable day.

Rome Vatican Museums and Colosseum Skip-the-Lines Walking Tour 2020
Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, Palatine Hill, Roman Forum, Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel

Both trips were very informative and the guides excellent. This is a true skip the line tour and you have just the right amount of time at each point I.E Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, Palatine Hill, Roman Forum. We learned a ton of information which you wouldn't get visiting on your own. The Vatican Museum was busy and it would have been nice to spend a bit more time there but you have to go with the flow of visitors. We were very lucky in the Sistine Chapel as there were Tapestries by Raphael on display for the first time in 500 years! I think the trip could be improved if the Guides informed you which bus to get and where to get it from as its quite tight to get from the Colosseum\Roman forum area to the Vatican in time.
